LD Communications is a multi-events UK based communications agency that works with some of the most prestigious events, festivals and IP owners in the music and entertainment industries. A leading events sector UK PR & Communications Agency with huge history of incredible achievements were suffering from a lack of credibility and authority that their previous website was displaying. So they came to us, and we turned it around.
The brief
When LD Communications approached us at Huddle, their website was looking dated and in need of a refresh. LD Communications work with some of the most credible household names, and yet their previous website was not delivering the perception of industry leadership and expertise they needed.
What did we do?
Huddle collaborated with the LD Communications team to create a website that was considerably more aligned with the company's premium positioning and that used some icons integrated into the designs. We streamlined the appearance and redesigned its UX and UI, but did so in a way that highlighted the business as a premium product. And what’s more, we implemented it in a fast-moving timeline that would have the new website live in just six weeks.
What did we do?
We undertook strategic planning by holding one of our infamous, and proven, Huddle Hacks. Alongside this, we held a number of collaborative sessions where Huddle looked at the precise number of audiences LD Communications wanted to resonate and engage with.
We created a high level site map that would be developed over a number of iterations to be more detailed and worked alongside LD Communications to map out service offerings. The team is very well known in the industry, and so we knew the website itself needed to be a way of communicating their authority and credibility in the industry to build brand awareness, as well as being a powerful lead generation tool for those discovering LD Communications.
What did we do?
We drilled into the finer details like website design concepts and a template selection. We advised Wordpress as their hosting site platform because of best SEO practices. We designed a number of concepts based on a premium theme with monochrome design, which communicates authority and creates an ambience, and we then developed this out into detailed designs. Plus we implemented key features like live action video, which gets across the live nature of what LD Communications do, and using our unique creative network, we shot a number of rounds of professional photography to find the right projected image for the brand.
We overhauled UI design, development and build stage was initiated where we made the UI more accessible and intuitive, whilst heightening the UX. In Week 5, we added stats and case studies to give tangible impacts. Plus, we created a highly visual timeline to communicate the brand’s rich history.. We then held Q&A testing sessions with LD Communications, took on-board feedback and made responsive and reactive refinements ahead of launch.
